    hi Eircom

are members of the public entitled to know where you plan to place cabinets as part of the new FTTC / FTTH project?

and if so , how do we get this information?

    thanks

    Hi IE2012,

At the moment eircom are in the process of completing Phase 1 and still installing phase 2. We have no definitive indications of the activation dates as yet I'm afraid.

However any information / updates will be posted on our fibre website -

    http://www.eircom.net/broadband/fibre/

    Thanks, Mark

prices dont look good, 100GB usage?

can you get broadband service only, with no phone line? and save on the line rental cost? or have eircom inflated the cost to include the old line rental?

People on FTTx products do not pay line rental. The only people who pay line rental nowadays are rural people on dialup or elderly with no broadband because everyone else with broadband is on a bundle.

if you are on a bundle you pay line rental, its broken out on the eircom bill
and you can clearly see it.

if FTTx products dont have line rental attached, how come the prices are not €25.36 cheaper?

There is no telephone service is why. There is a VoIP option if you buy an ATA
