    Hi,
I'm doing a 5k in two weeks time and have been doing a lot of training by my standards for the last two weeks. I ran yesterday morning and i won't be doing any running tomorrow. Anyway, my legs are feeling tired this morning, so should i run or rest this evening. I'd prefer to run but i don't know would that be counter productice. Any advice?

    Thanks.

Light jog and a load of stretching might be a better idea. If the legs are tired another hard run will not help them recover.

Agree with this. i'd go for a light run. Getting blood back into the muscles can aid recovery, followed by some dynamic stretching, or if you have one, use a foam roller.

I might get accused of being a triathlete for this, but if you have a bicycle, I find that an easy spin is great for loosening up the legs when they're tired.

i followed your advice with the bike pointer and took an easy spin. Legs definitely need a rest. I'll go for a light jog tomorrow.
