I am in love with my best friend. I just want to be around him all the time, but I don't want to ruin what I have with him because I can't get this kind of friendship back if we ruin it. I also am not 100% sure he's straight. I can't tell and I feel like that's an awkward question when he wouldn't have even admitted it to himself if he was.
I just don't know what to do. I have kind of decided to just not say anything and allow my feelings for him to fuel a stronger kind of friendship between us.
    Advice?

I've been there, and it can ruin friendships.
If he was flirting with you/ sending you signals I would say "go for it", but he is not, AND you don't even know whether he is gay or not.

If you don't mind me asking, how old are you? When I was around 19/ 20 I found myself getting crushes on male friends as I didn't kind of understand the friendship.

Just let it go. Try to just enjoy him as a friend.

I woul say tell them. I don't know if you can ever have a proper friendship if one side is feeling more then the other.
