    Hi all,

First post for myself and I'm not sure what kind of topics are welcome here, hope you folks don't mind a (yet another) comparison thread.

So I'm looking for a hybrid bike for weekend cycling, nothing hardcore, just the odd cycle around the countryside, 50-60 km I reckon, and mostly on decent roads. And maybe if I get more confident about the whole thing I can try cycle to work once a week, it's 50 km overall, even though it looks like a big undertaking to me.

I'm going for something medium-low buget, between 400 and 500 euro basically. And also I have little/no knowledge about bikes, haven't really cycled anything apart for commuting with my squeaky bike during college. So if on the one hand I wouldn't be able to appreciate a top-notch bike, on the other I want something decent, I may get a kick out of it.

Went to Penny Farthing and Wheelworx in Dublin and I narrowed down the choice to two models:
    - Claud Butler Urban 300, 450 euro
    - Felt Qx60, same price
They're both entry level apparently, and to me they look pretty much the same quality and features.

Now I'm going to ask you, what would you go for? I'd prefer robustness and comfort over performance (wouldn't mind a 1 kg difference, I'd rather invest on a better gear set).

And finally, do you think the budget is aligned to my expectations? Maybe better getting something slightly dearer?
After all it's going to be my first - real - rothar

    Cheerio!

PS. Any other model you want to suggest is more than welcome.
