Broken rf socket

Not sure if this is the right forum for this...

I have a wall mounted Saorview compatible Philips tv. Recently I took it off the wall to connect a new cable to the back of the tv. Unfortunately the coax cable from my indoor aerial was pulled too tight and the rf socket from the back of the tv broke off. Have I any options for adapters to connect the coax to any of the other inputs?

No, you have to repair the connector, or get someone to do it for you.

This is very common. Depending on the damage and the availability of parts or a bodge it could be very expensive.

You could connect a Saorview box to the scart or HDMI connectors at a cost of 50 to 80 Euro. There are some non Saorview approved boxes that might fit behind the TV and receive the signal and convert it to HDMI or scart.

What remains of the socket? If the centre part of the connector is still visible you could salvage it by stripping the end of the coax and attaching it directly, solder or tape etc.
