    Yes I've been using it for a few weeks now and it's very good. It will send you alerts of emergency squawks, of which I'm receiving two or three a day. The camera mode is a bit iffy though as other seems to shows several flights on the screen, though I'm beginning to think maybe I'm not using it correctly.

    id say you are but it can be a bit shaky, sometimes they keep jumping left to right, maybe an update will address that issue.

    Was thinking of getting this for Android as well. Its a pain at the moment with the free app, which tells you nothing but the flight code

    I have it on android and my camera mode looks nothing like that screenshot in the first post. There is no radar and it seems to completely have the direction wrong. I point it south and it picks up planes on the ground at Dublin Airport, to my northeast!

    I downloaded it a couple of months back and it's pretty good. Zero time lag from what i can see. Where i live i can see aircraft out of runway 28/10 and straight away it will be on the app.

    If I have an AM start I can check in advance if my inbound flight is running late and grab me some more shut eye or at least a lazy breakfast. Also if I'm away with work my GF has it on her phone so she can know when I've landed or am on approach so she can pick me up. It came in handy too earlier in the year in Nice when I checked it ut to see the outbound hadn't left Dublin and there was an hour to our departure so it defo has its uses.

    My favourite app on my phone! Ive spent hours on end just looking at it.
    Camera mode can be a bit off but sometimes is spot on. I think its more down to the compass on your phone rather than the app itself.

    I have it as well. Using it for a while. It's cool to check out something flying overhead. I even like the emergency thing. Surprising number of 7700 squawks.

    I thought I would use to track when my wife's flight from Brussels was inbound. But frustratingly I lost the signal at night in my Mother's house where I was staying. So when she got in early. I was caught out. Not the apps fault though. If you download ATC live and run both simulataneously you'll be in spotter heaven.

    Settings -> "Show Notifications"

    It will automatically send you 7700 and 7600 squawks alerts, which when you click on them will bring you straight to that aircraft.

    BTW, there is an option to limit the visible radius (I've mine limited to 60km) and to not show ground traffic. All helps give a clearer AR view.

    Hi
    I have this a few weeks now and am surprised at the amount of 7700 squawks,what would they be in general? I have the ATC app as well which I play in the back ground so I can listen to the planes I am watching on screen.
    One squawk last week was a serious medical issue and the flight was diverted to Frankfurt and the pilot was requesting police and medics to meet the plane :(

    There were three 7700 squawks last Thursday evening alone which didn't appear on AvHerald. I emailed Simon Hradzecky and he said they were all medical emergencies. He said he's stopped using this alert feature as there are so many of them that turned out to be just low key medical emergencies that were of little importance in general and just increased his workload.

    I doubt there would be any reliable feeds from the UK. Based on anecdotes on the LiveATC forums they get shut down fairly quickly.
