2 month holiday in Europe with kids

    Hi there

    We are considering a 2 month break next summer and will look into the possibility of taking a house for a short term lease and settle in a place for the summer - we have 4 children and would love them to have 1 great holiday while they are still young. Has anyone else done anything similar, and can your recommend anywhere - hubbywants the Greek islands (don't we all!) but open to all possibilities at this stage. Just looking to hear if you have any experiences and tips!

    Would you consider a house swap as it could save you a lot of money as a family in regards to accomadition. I know several families that did this in the past.
    If you going for this long you could take the car and ferry over to France and work from there.

    yes, had thought of that too as we'd look to have a house sitter here anyway - I'm thinking local knowledge will be worth so much so going to send some feelers out to friends living abroad and see what happens.
