Zoom 4501 3g wireless router with 3 Iphone 4?

    Hi,

    I came across this tutorial on the Zoomtel website that apparantly enables tethering of the Iphone to a 4501 zoom 3g broadband router (thereby neatly replacing the need for a USB dongle). Well at least in theory.

    I installed the latest firmware for the router as requested W1.0.12 (http://www.zoomtel.com/techsupport/m...and_4501.shtml), then I rebooted, set up the APN for 3 (3ireland.ie) with password and username left blank and tethered the Iphone but the 3g connection is not detected by the router.

    Has anybody done this and can clarify if this works. I assume somebody must have because zoomtel has 3.ie APN settings on their website.
