VW polo - Juddering

The girlfriend has a 2003 1.2 petrol polo. 105,000 miles on the clock. When you put the accelerator down, the car starts juddering, and its getting worse. The engine warning light came on, stayed on for 1min approx and went off again. I need to take it to the garage, but it'll be Monday. Has anyone an idea of what's wrong

Im going to guess and say engine misfire, probably coil pack. Common enough, and part itself is only 40 odd euro.

I had this happen a few times when I had a Polo (2002 1.2 model), once it was a coil and on two occasions it was a lambda sensor.
