62 pax is a pretty pathetic load - I hope they left out a leading 1 there.

Someone gets hurt and the best thing you can think of is the pax load? get a grip.

How do you know that's "all I can think of"? Just because I didn't post anything else doesn't even suggest that.

You may want to think things through before suggesting people "get a grip".

I agree with MYOB, while the attendant getting injured is the main thought when reading the article, it is a common enough occurence. The pax load however stands out. I'm guessing they forgot a 1, the height of a summer season, on a Friday, it's highly unlikely there was only 62 pax aboard.

I'm struggling to see the relevance or noteworthy point of the load factor in this thread also as it goes, considering the injuries sustained and the obviously The experience for a whole for all crew and passengers.

Anyway this must have been a nightmare and a half for anyone on the flight, the worst turbulence I ever encountered was on an Aer Lingus 735 DUB to CDG some years ago now. It was that bad I was almost looking for a lend of some roseary beads that flight went on for what seemed like forever. scary stuff.

I wonder if any relations of yours were on the flight would you be worrying over the number of passengers on the flight, this is the worst comment I have ever seen on boards no sympathy for the injured crew. Unreal comment.

The pax load is the only item mentioned in your first post in this thread so if posters happen to refer to it please forgive them

Hope the crew is ok and back in action soon.

I had nothing else to add in relation to the injury, seeing as all the details that were public were in the article.

Anyone else care to join this completely pointless witch-hunt?

in hindsight maybe you had nothing to add to the thread, full stop. As regarding a witch hunt, maybe you'd wanna look up that definition some place and come back to us or ermm maybe dont. BTW if anyone should in future post up a link to something in this forum that could be considered relevant for discussion for avaition people / enthuiasts lets not expect any sensible or objective discussion as " the details may have been made public in that article" hmm maybe you could mention you dont like the paint job on the plane or something equally as important or enthralling, seriously thank you for your contribution.

Your net 'contribution' to this thread so far has been two posts of completely and utterly pointless carping, so that final line is more than a bit rich.

Aer Lingus' recent load factor performance speaks for itself - so that should put any issues surrounding the load factor to bed - it's either an error or an outlier in the overall performance.

Regardless - let's wish the crew involved a speedy recovery.

I was quite surprised when reading of this turbulence incident - is it absolutely confirmed as being caused by descent through (what appeared to be) a relatively thin (albeit potentially turbulent type) cloud layer?

It must have been quite frightening for all involved nonetheless.

The second last avherald anonymous response at 19:47 mentions a mid-air fight/air-rage scenario.

Given there is no mention of passenger involvement, yet the other 3 flight attendants required medical attention this incident surely merits robust investigation.....:)

Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.
