Channel Numbers for Transmitters

Does anyone know where I can check the channel numbers used for Saorview digital transmissions. Specifically I am interested in Kippure and Mount Leinster. I am using an old Yagi which probably is only capable of receiving some of the lower frequency UHF channels (Its not a VHF aerial) and if possible drive 3 boxes/TVs off it without an amplifier if the signal is strong enough. I am tuning in on channel 45 which I think comes from Kippure, although on another box, further down the cable I can only pick up channel 54 which is at a higher frequency (after the signal loops through a digibox) Possibly the digibox is shifting the frequency upwards but I thought it only did this to satellite channels it decodes and outputs on UHF from the coax connector, looped through signals being left unchanged?

Mt Leinster is channel 45, Kippure is channel 54. Mt Leinster changes to C23 at/after DSO.

There was a list of Saorview frequencies on the RTENL website, but they revamped the website this week and now have an old outdated version up. (http://www.rtenl.ie/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/SAORVIEW-Frequencies-Rev-1.0.pdf)

The other list which may be of use is The Cush's here http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056427289 .

I posted the most recent RTÉNL list of Saorview frequencies here - http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=80240445&postcount=26

    Thanks for the links!
So I'm picking up a really strong signal from Mt Leinster, even though the yagi is pointing at Kippure! It should be directional and the signal from Mt. Leinster is coming in at a 45 degree angle from the back of the antenna.

I ended up receiving a stronger signal by pointing the Yagi at Mt. Leinster, even though it is twice as far away from me as Kippure. On analogue I get a better signal normally from Kippure on VHF but Mt. Leinster radiates over double the power on digital. The received power should vary with the square of the distance if transmitter is broadcasting omni-directionally so I souldn't be benefitting from the extra power, however I reckon the reason for this is my aerial has more gain at the lower frequency and should work even better when they switch to channel 23. Is there any way of identifying the group of a multiple director element Yagi?

If you know the make & model of the aerial, you might be able to find the dimensions for each group variant on the maker's website. I'm assuming that it doesn't have a coloured bung in the boom identifying the frequency group (red for group A).

For digital coverage to replicate analog coverage, it needs one fifth the power of the analogue signal (-7dbW). Kippure analog power is 600kW and digital power is 63kW. This means that the digital power is around -10dbW on analog power, meaning that digital coverage will be slightly worse than analogue. Mt Leinster analogue is 480kW, and although not yet on full power yet, it's after DSO power will be 160kW, which is around -5dbW, meanng that Mt Leinster will have slightly greater coverage after DSO.

Of course if you can see MtL and not Kippure, that will make a difference too.

The only thing I know about the antenna is that it was originally used for receiving British channels in north county Dublin probably from Kilkeel or wherever the nearest transmitter was. It's over thirty years old so I'm unlikely to get any info on it!
