Architect / engineer to supervise and certify renovation

    Hi all!

I'm in the process of purchasing a house that's in need to renovation. Structural survey carried out and no major worries.

Bank have sent me a Loan Offer Letter with some conditions - valuation, survey, etc. as standard. One condition is that I have an architect or engineer "supervise" the construction, advise that the costs are realistic and achievable and provide certs of compliance with planning and building regs.

The house is a two-bed, end of terrace, about 55m2 in D6 area. All works would be internal.

Does anybody have experience of this and how much it would cost? And if so any recommendations to make?

    Thanks in advance :)
