    Hi all,

A friend has asked me if I know anyone in Limerick who could service his bike. The reason I said I'd ask here is that it's a Frakinstien's monster of a bike . Its a Bike Friday 20" folding bike with Ultegra shifters,105 crank and chain ring Xt rear mech and a sram internal hub!
Every thing is ok on it it's just the internal hub is causing the gears to slip and the chain not to mesh on the cassette in the lowest ratio so as I don't have any experience with rear hubs I said I'd put it up here and see what the limerick based brethern could suggest.
    Thanks

Would he not be best off fetching it into one of the bike shops in Limerick and let them give it the once over? Siopa Rothar on John Street- Near Charlottes Quay carpark or TriBikes in Raheen- Just down from the hospital.

probably but it's his son's bike from when he lived in London and he wouldn't have a clue which is a good vs bad bike shop and as I live in Waterford I don't know any of the local shops.

Well I use Siopa Rothar and find it very good for any jobs I've needed done. Then again, I was in TriBikes today and I know the mechanic from another bike shop and he's also good! Not sure if TriBikes just specialise in road, mtb and tt bikes though. Maybe someone here could clarify?

Johns a great mechanic alright- as long as the shop isn't swamped then service is swift. Although, his repairs are always top notch!
