    hey guys,

me and my girlfriend are thinking of immigrating to canada, but we dont want to arrive and spend weeks lookin for wrk and then end up working in a field that either of us arent qualified in. im basically looking to immigrate to gain experience.

im a qualified BEng civil engineer, 1 years experience, 25 yrs old.

my girlfriend is a qualified dog groomer with 2 years experience 25 years old.

shes working at the moment so we'd be moving for my benefit, can we both get a working visa and is it possible for me to get a graduate civil engineering or even better some how have 1 sorted before i get out there

There's a few ways you can go about it -

1 - As you are both apply for the IEC when it opens for 2013. That would at least get you into Canada and gives you an open work permit . Give you good scope to travel around and find a job. You can also apply for a second IEC while you are there.
2 - Apply for jobs from here and ask them to sponsor you through eith the various Nominee programs or with an LMO to give you a TWP.

    LMO - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/employers/lmo-basics.asp
    Sask nominee - http://www.saskimmigrationcanada.ca/sinp
    Alberta - http://www.albertacanada.com/immigration/immigrating/ainp.aspx

Alberta and Saskatchewan are rife with jobs at the moment so either of you should be able to get jobs easily.
