Saad 9-3 fuel pump

    Hi
I recently bought a 03 saab 93 from a dealer with no warrenty ( I know..) but I was bringing it for a pre nct test the next day and he said he would stand over it if antyhing was wrong. It passed with nothing showing up on it.

About 3 weeks later the car started cutting out while driving so I brought it to a saab dealer who ran diagnostic and did a service on it and said it was fine could not find a problem.

But the problem persisted and my wife was very nearly involved in a serious accident so I reaserched it myself and found that this is a known problem with the fuel pump on 03 saab 93s (there was even a recall) so I rang some other saab dealers close by and they confirmed this and brought it to one who is a friend of my father. He removed the fuel pump and said it was a make shift punp installed just to keep the car going for a short period.

Do I have any comeback on this or what should I do about it as I am angry mainly because of my wife nearly having an accident she is nervous about driving ever since. I am angry at 1 the guy who sold it too me and 2 the saab dealership for leaving us drive it

    Any help suggestions much appreciated

it doesnt sound like the fuel pump to me, if the fuel pump was on the way out the car would overheat afaik, someone more qualified with me should be along shortly with some better info, Saabed for example!
