    Hi lads,

I would love to go stalking if anybody is willing to take me. I don’t have deer hunting licence or rifle. I was hunting abroad for big game but now just shooting bunnies (.17HMR) and decoying pigeons (no time bc small children). I would love to get back to hunting in the near future. I would like to see what’s involved in to track deer. I also have NARGC insurance, Jeep 4x4 ready to use.
Everybody has to start somewhere and need a little help.
So if anyone can help please let me know.
    Thanks

I wouldn't mind but I've only about 450 acres cast in stone permission in the North East and it's mainly a hiding and waiting game not much of a stalk involved.

    Thanks for answers/offers lads
    I am from Co. Wexford.
Most of my huntings was like meathstevie said a hiding and waiting in the middle of nowhere or on the hide builded on the tree on the edge of crop fields.
No problem to travel with reasonable distance. If i don't find anyone in close areas till full season starts I'll let You now guys.
Other thing, just wondering, why some people shoot deer in rut time when the meat is just smelly especially older stags?

The meat is pretty good if you hang it a good while..
10-14 days in the cool room and me thinks yum yum.

Personally I've no interest in shooting a stag in it's prime. I'd rather have him rutting away and producing good calves. I'd take an average to good pricket over a mature stag any time.

    Hi lads

Just wondering, is anybody willing take me deer stalking in the next future? I didn't ask earlier, I had problems with my jeep.
    Cheers
