My partner has just started cycling and would like a bag that attaches to the handlebar. Nothing fancy - just needs room for phone, keys etc. The bike is a basic mtb. Any recommendations greatly appreciated.

What about a triangular bag for under the top tube? Cheap and loads up on ebay.

Step through frame unfortunately. I would go with a saddle bag but her preference was for a handlebar bag.

Id recommend the ortlieb compact 5. I use mine for the same purposes. Waterproof and securely fastened, and has a shoulder strap. At a push i can fit in phone, wallet, keys a tshirt&underwear.
