kells broadband

    can anyone tell me what broadband speeds should be available from the kells, co.kilkenny exchange? a couple of people here are claiming speeds of 8 & 12MB.
    3 tests from different sources give me a result of .58 to 1.5MB
    have tried without success to get info from eircom.

    depends on a number of factors:
    How far they are from the exchange
    and
    What the backhaul of the exchange is...

    A lot of rural exchanges have pathetic backhaul so only 3Mbs is available from them
