Took some time out from boards.ie

Getting a few things sorted in my head, plus I've been busy building an MMA club in work, on that note I'd like to pass on my respect to anyone starting a martial arts club and trying to encourage people to come and try you out, 'tis hard work and almost 24/7 ~ respect peeps.

My intention was to take a longer break, and tbh maybe close my account.. But I work a popular, and busy door in the city center (Dublin) and weekly I'm asked "are you Makikomi from boards ~ hi I'm from the internet" :D so no point in hiding.

Anything new in the last few months from me, tbh no.. Like I said I've kept myself busy with starting an MMA club/group in work. The summer hols is a quite time in Judo comps so nothing new there, although I may (time allowing) take in some BJJ comps this year.

    Any craic here?.

    Aw man, you missed it!!

Well there were a few debates about whether Martial Art X was effective (in a street fight). and if it wasn't, whether that was just down to training methods or the art itself. As you can imagine that took quite a while to finally sort out :P And then just when everybody seemed to be in agreement, the whole argument started over again a week or two later in a different thread about Martial Art Y :D

Other than that BJJ/MT/Boxing are brilliant, everything else isn't! Look you weren't here to talk up Judo! :D

So pretty much the usual stuff happening! Lots of events on these days too.
Bit more going on over on the MMA forum these days with the whole 151 debacle...

Welcome back. Paddy's Muay Thai show looks like it's getting some great fights on it. The Bridgestone one should be announced soon too. Steo's fight on that should be top end. I think Gaz (Ste's brother) is fighting a lad from his neighbourhood too, so that should be fun. :D Yours truly will hopefully be jumping in for a whirl too.
