€200 Grants for Digital Switchover

    ‘Small Grants Scheme’ is available to community and voluntary organisations, with most grants in the region of €50 to €200....

    “Groups are being encouraged to hold events such as tea-mornings to inform people on the digital switchover. These events could be pre-planned and the switchover element added on as an extra dimension."
    “I would encourage community and voluntary groups to avail of this funding and help spread the word to people about how to make the switch.”

    I could not find anything about this on the http://www.goingdigital.ie/ website so I fired them off an email. I got a reply asking which County I was in. After that I was referred to the local "switchover champion"

    They emailed me general switchover information and this form:

    Of these, number of Target Group expected to attend: 103

    So funding is available, time is very very lmited, but if you can help educate the target groups then go ahead and apply and you may get funding.

    You will need to send them an email explaining you are interested in the grants scheme and letting them know which county you are in. Alternatively just contact your local person directly:
