Didn't see any mention of it already so here are the details of the Cork Half Marathon that's on in Blarney next Sunday (9th) at 11am, all entrants get a 20% off voucher for John Buckley Sports so you could probably cover the entry cost that way!

Less hilly course this year I read & you can enter on the day. Not running myself but should be there as a steward.

I'll be running it for first time since'09. Glad that hill up to Grenagh has been removed. Great event and the weather is looking good.

Tough course today, pb but the legs took some battering on the hills...I'd hate to have seen this course when it had the big hill in it last year.

541 runners this morning, drizzle stopped around 5 mins before the start. Results (coming soon) & pics as always on the Running in Cork blog.

Was my first time running in a few months and decided that this was the one to dust off the cob webs... Not the most sensible thing to do but big thanks to the 2hr pacer guy. He caught me right at the end and gave me a good pickup to get across the line in 1.58.

Very well organised and great race overall, if a bit tough :)
