    It is the road into the new train station. They hope to have a lot completed by March 2013.

    No planning on the county council planning site - are you sure ? I recall that half built house at the entrance to costa na mara been for sale earlier this year, would this be the reason it went up.

    There's full planning for it on the county council website, been mentioned in galway independent, advertiser and the sentinel. It's a single platform railway station with fairly large carpark in front of it.

    I used to live in Oranmore on what is now called the Galway Coast Rd.

    Is this new station far from the Claregalway Road?

    Is it near tha Gurrane Rd?

    It's in Gurraun South, it's right beside where the bridge is going over the old N6 dual carriageway

    Will the service be using existing services from Dublin or will there be extra services from, say Ballinasloe or Athenry?

    Problem is that the contractor is only building the platform before it's been handed back to the council to build the car park so we could be waiting :)
