Can anyone advise if you have to do this on the right and left in the test? Also any tips, its my nemesis.

    Its just on the left.
You drive past the turn, reverse into it, then turn right out of the turn. So its just a 3-point turn really.
At least that's the way it was 15 years ago.

tester will ask you to pull in at side of road just after the corner (make sure you use indicator to signal pulling in). adjust your mirrors so you can see the footpath in left hand mirror. before you move off, check behind you. reverse slowly keeping eye on the footpath to keep your distance from path. keep going until the car is straightened after the reverse. when tester tells you to pull off again, make sure you check mirror placement again (people often forget to do this). Also, make sure you signal and check mirrors you are moving off from parked position.

Just to add: Don't indicate before the side road you're reversing into but wait until it's obvious you're not turning - it's misleading for drivers behind you.

It was my nemesis for a long time too. I just went to a corner and did it twenty or thirty times until the penny finally dropped. For me it was all to do with overturning the steering wheel to the right.

    Good luck!

Just recently passed. My technique was:

    - signal when half way across the junction and pull in.
    - Bring left mirror down to see the kerb
    - cancel your signal
    - check over your shoulder and all mirrors, over your shoulder again and start the turn
    - keep your line until you start to make the turn, over the shoulder again
    - follow the line in the left mirror, then look straight back, then right again
    - if you cant see around the corner, stop as soon as you are able to see and do your observations again
    - start to straighten out, again checking all mirrows and over your left shoulder straight behind you
