    Hi there,

Does anyone know what parking is like around Clontarf road Dart station? Do you have to be in the car park very early to get a space? What about the surrounding area, anyone know??
I'm moving to the area but not very near the dart station or bus stops! :(
    Thanks in advance

There are several car parks further down the coast, I'm not sure how expensive the pay and display is here though.

The 130 runs along the coast to the station, lots of people park for free close to the bus route and bus it to the station or straight into town.

What part of Clontarf are you moving too?

    Hi
Thanks for getting back so quick, around the Mount prospect area, its a bit of a walk to the coast road and the dart station is far, so I'm not sure the beat way to get to town, plus the area of town I work in is closer to the dart than the bus, which stops at abbey street and then I'd have to walk over which takes 20 mins, and I'm trying to avoid!
Plus the dart works out cheaper...

Great place, it's where I grew up :D Killester DART Station is probably a shorter walk for you and the train will be slightly less full, but it's still 15-20 minutes walking.

When I worked Southside I used to just get the 130 to the Station and DART from there.

For the sake of a 20 minute walk you're probably better off just taking the bus to town as you'll lose time waiting for the bus and then waiting for a DART.

Then again, cycling was by far the quickest option for me, even allowing for a shower and change at the office.

Hmmm yeh, it looks like the bus into town is the best option! I'll walk across town, I suppose it will do me good..

I wouldn't cycle, would be afraid of my life and being female and wearing nice skirts and things it would be tricky!! Would have to bring a hairdryer etc to work lol

Thanks a lot, and yes its a lovely area :)

Cycling really isn't dangerous and if you cycle at a regular pace you won't sweet and wouldn't need a hairdryer. Or yes you could just leave a hairdryer in the office.

I have many very beautiful female friends who cycle every day into work without any problems.

To be honest, it is just a mind set, most people could easily cycle to work.
