I'm restoring my E30 touring at the min and below is a photoshop of what I intend to make it look like. It's in the paintshop right now and I need to chose a colour sooner rather than later. I tried to match the colour below to Mauritius Blue, it's way of but I kinda like it only have no idea what it might come close to. As much as I'd like to stick with a BMW colour if there's a different manufacturer that has a close match I'd be happy.

I'm pretty sure it's not close to any BMW colour

Call a BMW dealer and ask them the colour.

Problem is your monitor is going to look different to mine, or anybody elses.

When I was choosing a colour for my car I kept my eyes open on the roads, and then visited the showroom for a closer look and paint codes etc.

It's not a bmw colour though, I made it up in photoshop in an attempt to match it to mauritius blue, which is this:

I agree about the monitor making colours look different, depending on how the image was treated in post processing the colour can be changed as well. Some thing close would be a help as I can then try and see it in person. I've yet to really notice a nice shade of blue that stands out to me while I'm about :(

It's never gonna work in RGB, find something close in a RAL card but make sure you see the physical colour chips. http://www.ralcolor.com/

Ah okay, What about this then?
    ford-mondeo-2007-state-blue-metallic-hatchback-lx-tdci-5dr-d74535d13986c1d076165c2545bb58b9-m2.jpg

    Ford State Blue Metallic. :)

Ah thanks I'll have a read of that.

BTW, The reason I keep suggesting Ford colours is because there they only colour names I know :)

Looks like Ford Performance blue or a Mazda colour (could be the same)

Or possibly Ultra Sonic Mica Blue (too much Gran Turismo as a child)

The above are too light, Similar to the Imperial Blue I posted earlier.

Think the State Blue above is pretty close though?

Also there's a Midnight Blue Pearl from Nissan. :)

I'm gonna check the colour cards next chance I get in the paint shop for those above. I quite like this:

    98.jpg&sa=X&ei=bx9JUJ31HNDgtQb27oD4DQ&ved=0CAwQ8wc&usg=AFQjCNHXe2Up95Lmw8lJ2KWlEil1CpaLIA

But then again (you can see it with the Ford colours) on a different monitor or with different light the colour can change so much a dealer visit is in order before I make my mind up.

Does anyone know what colour the previous gen Civic comes in, I spoted on while I was drunk one night and it look nice but it was dark.
BTW, The reason I keep suggesting Ford colours is because there they only colour names I know
I'm the same with BMW colours :p
