    Hi,

I live in the north Louth area and my mates have bikes but I am the only one with a mountain bike. Basically I'm looking for someone to head up the mountain/forest with and have a bit of craic. I go up on my own and enjoy it but just thinking having a bit of company would add to the experience. I'm a 25 year old male.

I'm not very fit so patience is a must!

    HI,

I started a thread recently about going to Ravensdale forest or even Carlingford area.

I have never been there so a joint spin would be great.
Ravensdale would be a good beginner spot - park up and cycle to the fire road, then drop down into the forest trail back to the car park.

As per others here - the carlingford side is very open and might be better off doing a beginner day with the Dundalk mtb club - which I want to do also.

look here for the Ravensdale spin - here

Coming from Navan so not too far.

    Thanks Karl,

Will take a look at that link as that is my area so suits perfectly.

Might give it a shot on Saturday when taking a break from the study :)

    Karltimber,

Just checked this map and the loop at Jenkinstown could be a good spin to start off with:

What type of bike have you got anyway? Mine is no great shakes
