Wasn't sure where to put this but I've recently moved to Dublin and will be doing a masters in DCU this year, just wondering if anyone (students or not) would be up for a kickabout a couple of times a week?

I haven't scouted around most of my new surroundings but I'm pretty sure there's a few astroturfs knocking about.

Any gender/skill level welcome of course, more a bit of fun/social thing than anything competitive.

I play a game near Drumcondra on Wednesday evenings. We are generally looking for extra numbers if your interested. The standards not too high although I do have a bit of Xavi somewhere in me

Great, so that's 5 so far or 6 if blueraincoat wants to play too. I could probably get a housemate if we're short on numbers anyway.

I live close to DCU myself so any evening would suit me really, I'll have to find out what the story is with renting the astroturf, I'm pretty sure I saw a place that seemed to be just left open but I'll investigate further once I'm back up there.

Hey Steve, I went for a wander around there yesterday and the astro turf pitches on campus look fine, I'm going to knock in tomorrow and find out how much they are and who to ring to book etc.
I'll post again tomorrow when I know and we can talk what days/times suits.

Right so this is the story:
Off-peak - €25
6-7pm - €45
Peak - €60

Off-peak - before 6pm Mon-Thurs, Friday and Weekends
Peak - from 7pm Mon-Thurs

They seem to take bookings up to a week in advance but we can do a block booking for a discounted rate if we can get regular numbers.

My timetable is changing quite a bit but as of now I can do anytime apart from Tues & Thurs when I'll be free after 7pm.

I'll be around this weekend too if people are up for it

Generally, I will be free Mondays & Wednesdays from 5, Tuesday & Thursdays after 6, and most weeks Fri, Sat & Sundays.

I could also do a sneaky hour on Monday afternoons at 1! :P

Are we looking at 5 or 6 aside?

I'll mention it to my housemate when he gets home.

My housemate said he'd be up for a game most evenings anyway so that's 5-6 people so far, I'll PM the people that posted earlier in this thread and see what happens and then if needed I'll ask people from my course once I start and see if I can get a few more.

Monday could stick an hour at 12:00ish to 1ish
Wednesday anytime after 2

How much would cost for each person anyways?

hello. yes, I'm still interested. according to my timetable I'm free after 11am mondays and fridays and after 5.30pm tuesdays to thursdays

Do people wanna try get a game going Friday?
If so Ill see what times are available and take it from there.
As far as I can make out Friday is off peak all day so only €2.50 a head assuming we get 10, wont be too bad if we can only manage 8 though.

I'll grab yer numbers after the 1st game anyway so organising in the future won't be half as hard.

Hi guys, was busy with an assignment the last while so couldn't organise this.

If people could PM me your mobile numbers it'll be easier to get things going cause I wont have to wait for responses here before I go and book it.
I'll just group text ye all and book it if we have enough.

We could try this coming Friday anyway, hopefully enough will see this by then and maybe have another day once we get it going.
