Hi Guys, I'm new to all this. Its 12 years since I was last at College. I'm going into 3rd/final year of BA Finance + Investment. I registered today but they did not have a time-table to give me. They told me it will be there on Monday... just turn up.
Is this normal?? Do you just head in for 9am Monday morning to the Business building.
    Thanks in advance

Yup, it's the same for every course, timetables out on Monday. They'll be available upstairs in that building.. I'm sure you'll be directed there if you don't know where it is to go :)

Thanks Callaway. appreciate that. Does everybody go in for 9am then. Surely everybody would'nt have a class at that time on Monday

Technically you have to go in to find out your timetable. It is available online too, but only on the college network!! Haha.

It could turn out that you aren't starting till 11 or whatever, but you can only find out by going in. very annoying I know :(

And if you don't have a class at 9 then you can catch up with your classmates.

I'm in similar situation in the sense after a long break from education (10 years) i'm going into the final year of an engineering course. Is the induction for tomorrow just for first years? Is there benefit in someone like myself attending? Also see a note about transfer and mature students attending a separate meeting later on the day? Is there any benefit in appearing for this?

I would say yes it would be very helpful for you. You get your timetable and you get to know people in your course/class.

Korek, I went to the Mature Students induction on Monday. It was OK, we had a few speakers who gave us a run down on College Life, then we got a tour of the Cork Road Campus. We did not get any time-tables. This is what is being repeated on Friday Evening for Mature Students.
I'm just hoping my brain is still working after being away from learning so long

Thanks Kapa, I might just pop along to that and see how that goes.I'm not very familiar with WIT and its campus surroundings. I'm assuming then the early morning induction classes are just for students entering first year orientation and there would be no point me going to that part? They weren't very transparent when I asked today about it!!

No Korek, we were told not to go to the early one, it would be a waste of time and is strictly for first years. Its the later one you should go to. The talk is fairly basic, its all about the facilities and support available at the College, but I found the tour of the Campus very useful. It s good to have an idea where to go on Monday.

First thing you do Monday is head up to the engineering office and pick up a timetable. Won't be available beforehand and head straight to your first lecture which most 3rd and 4th engineering courses tend to be in the building over in the Ind estate.
