    Hey guys,

Me and a friend are going to Asia next year for 2 weeks. We're planning to go to Bangkok for 4 days and Tokyo for maybe 3/4 days, and maybe one other place like Kula Lumpar or Hanoi.

I'm wondering whats the best way of doing this? Is it best flying to Tokyo directly and then going to Bangkok or vice versa? I was doing a bit of research and flights between countries in Asia seem very pricy, for example a one way flight from Singapore to Tokyo is over 800 euro.

So does anyone have advice on whats the best plan of going about a 2 week stay that incoporates Bangkok and Tokyo?

You are giving yourself very little time in each destination, I have been to both Bangkok, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur over the last two years. Bangkok is by far the best. Kuala Lumpur is more conservative but is the cheapest of the three cities. Singapore can be expensive and is very "western" compared to Bangkok.

Kuala Lumpur has excellent shopping and Bangkok is good too, Singapore is cool and worth seeing also and I'd rate them, Bangkok 1, Singapore 2, and Kuala Lumpur 3 although the Petronas Twin Towers in KL were a major redeemer for what I found to be a less inspiring city.

Look up Air Asia they have quite cheap fares between the cities you mentioned and a good way to do it would be to fly into bangkok then fly down to either Singapore or KL and then up to Tokyo before flying back to Europe again. Although limiting it to 2 cities for two weeks will give you better value of each city rather than spreading yourself too thin. Fly Scoot from Singapore are another low cost carrier worth investigating.
