    Well, here's my situation...

    I've run my own business for over 20 years but it looks like the government /recession is finally going to shut me down. I've applied for a number of jobs I know I could do with my eyes shut but because I don't have a degree or masters I don't even get considered! When I left school you didn't need a degree to get a decent job. I've have looked at various degree courses but I can't see how I could do one because I need to have some income coming in.
    I've got 3 dependents including one starting college this year. The timing of this disaster is awful! I could maybe get some part-time work or something but it wouldn't be enough to live on.
    Are there any courses that can be done where you get paid while training. I know there are intern courses etc. but because I've been self employed I don't qualify for any social welfare benefits.
    Any suggestions?
