    Hi All,

I have an eletric towel rail which is basically left on all the time. I can't help feeling that I'm wasting a ton of money becasue of this becuase I really only need to this to be on a couple of hours a day around shower times etc. The question is - are there any digital timers out there which would be suitable for electric towel rails.

What I'm looking for is one which is programmable for 7 days with a number of periods during the day. Also if possible I would like an option to turn on the the towel rail at the touch of a button, but wihich would then turn off after a pre-definded period of time (e.g. an hour)

A user on another thread was looking for something similar for the immersion and he was pointed in the direction of the following - Sangamo Boost Immersion Time Switch
    http://www.electricirelandstore.ie/Product/Sangamo-Boost-Immersion-Time-Switch/1160/100

Would something like this be suitable for my needs?

    Thanks for your help

You could try the QE1 time clock. Most good Electrical Wholesale Shops would stock them and it will do what you want. Timed on's and off's and a boost (for an hour at a time).

    QE1 Timer

The problem with the Sangamo PSB is you can't set times, it is only a count back timer so you have to press the button for it to come on. The Sangamo PSW would do what you want but the QE1 would be cheaper.

Cheers - looks like it could do the trick.
