Yeah, I was wondering about this too. I can't make sense of the timetable. It says all subjects in bold are compulsory but Skills to Succeed is bold and it's an option. :/

Have been thinking the EXACT same thing ha. I called the college, they said we don't have to decide right away, we'll find out more at orientation. So you can relax :)

I did Business Law and even though I found it very interesting, it's a subject that requires a lot of work. I think I only ever got one assignment and that was worth 20% of the year. The failure rate is also pretty high for the module but if you do have a genuine interest in it then you should be fine. :)

what type of work though? Like just learning of a lot of laws or more hands on kind of work, like writing/typing, projects, etc?

Went for Business Law and Skills to Succeed myself, have an interest in Law and wouldn't be that great with languages.

Found out after that I start at 1pm on a Monday thanks to not doing languages as well.

There was 13 topics altogether and it's just a case of learning the relevant cases that apply with each topic. However, it is awful easy to get the cases mixed up but if you write the terms of the case correctly then you'll get the majority of the marks

If you don't do business law in first year, you will have to take it in second year. I know there is changes to the course for first years this year so you are better to ask whether this is the same. If this is the case then I would suggest doing the Business Law module in first year. It takes up quite a bit of your time and is one to avoid for second year where your results matter towards your final degree result.
Skills to succeed is 100% continuous assessment as far as I know.
