I'm wracking my brain trying to remember the name of an old N64 game I used to have.

It was a flight game where you had to take-off and fly an airplane through canyons, ravines etc and land it safely at the end.

Anyone know the name of it?

Were there a number of different flying machines involved?

No, not pilot wings. It had a more realistic, adventure feel to it with older style propeller planes iirc

Nope, it wasnt fighter jets. You had to navigate the plane through trecherous environments like in between canyons and over waterfalls to reach the end of the stage. It had kind of an Indiana Jones feel to it.

Something reminded me of it yesterday and cant for the life of me remember the name of it!

    Could it be Knife-Edge(3d)?

No, there was no shooting involved.

The look is very similar though

Yeah, I have it, it's lovely, has a very N64 look off of it, but then it was an early PS2 title.
For better you should play Crimson Skies on the Xbox, based on a Fasa boardgame, the people that brought us Mechwarrior/Battletech.
A brilliant tale of Sky Pirates and adventure.
I think it used to be available to download from XBLA, if no longer, buy it and an Xbox to play it on!

^ It's also one of the few original Xbox titles to work relatively playable on the 360 too, if you want to go that route. Once you download Microsoft's oXbox emulator for the 360, that is.
