T-cut won't come off car??

I used some T-cut on my car and there's still patches of it. I rubbed and rubbed and rubbed til my shoulder fell off. (with a dry cloth)

I tried to wash it off with soap, water and a sponge. I tried a scrubbing brush.

Then I tried to use more T-cut to shift the old T-cut. I think it removed some of the older hazy patches, but gave me new spots.

It may have been kinda sunny the first time I applied it. Probably best to leave until evening or cloudy day?

I have tried Google for answers. It failed me.

    Any info greatly appreciated.

You probably need one of those cutting compounds (i think that's the name), they work the same as T-Cut only they will remove more/deeper into the paint work. Work in very small areas and as you say, not in direct sunlight.

P.s never use a scrubbing brush on paint work.

I'd be of the opinion that you used the T-Cut in direct sunlight on a warm/hot panel? There's a reason all these products state to use them in the shade on a cool surface :P

Do you have access to detailing clay or compounding polish? Either of these should work to get it out.

T-Cut is the polar opposite of the dog's danglies. For some reason it's the default product for paint but in reality, it's sh!te.

Thanks for the replies. I never noticed the detailing sub forum. :o

I don't have access to detailing clay or compounding polish. I can get some.

As long as it's not permanent damage, I'm a happy man. If I ruined the paint, I'd scream.

    I have this stuff.

Don't know if it will help.
