Training books and guides

Are there any really well recommended training guides or books out there worth buying?

With the end of my first (half) season winding to a close I'd like to get into a good structured routine of training to build on the level of fitness I've reached to date, with a view to being a bit more competitive next year. Thing is, seeing as I only really started cycling properly in ~March, and only got my licence at the end of June, I have not yet experienced and off season and have no idea how to structure off season training.

If anyone could point me in the direction of books or guides they have found useful, I would be very grateful.
