First running of the event was a great success. Nearly 400 competitors between 5k and 10k events. 5k was mainly for St. Maurs G.A.A. club juveniles but a few adults ran also.

Eoghan Brady Raheney Shamrocks won mens race in 35..17

Carmel Drumm St. Maurs was first lady to cross the line in 43..35

Thank you to the athletics community for their support today. On the back of the Rush Harbour festival 10 k in August there is now a running club in Rush and hopefully this might lead to an athletics being formed.

Enjoyed running this race last Sunday. Lovely atmosphere and well marshalled! Wondering if there are results going to be published? One irrelevent negative to me, is that I feel such events should have prizes for the 1st 3 finishers, male and female.

Glad you enjoyed the race. We got some good feedback.

I will check if results are going to be published and get back to you.

I agree now we should have had more prizes.

This was our first time running this event and all feedback is welcome and will be taken on board. If anyone has any other to add please let us know.

Thank you for your support. Oh if you have your race Number let me know and I will pass on photo to you. Got most competitors.

I assume at this stage there are no results being published. I can't remember my race number, but I surprisingly finished in 6th place overall.

To be blunt about it: If you put on a running race and charge €15 to enter, runners will expect, and are entitled to, a list of names, finishing places and times.

Fair comment. While we got a lot of things right, stewarding, marshalls, course we slipped up on this. Prizes were also thin on the ground.

This was our first attempt at staging a race like this and anything raised I can assure you will be worked on to ensure a better race for everyone next year.
