    Hey

Thinking of doing the Run-a-Muck in October with a group of friends. Is it suitable for a total beginner runner? Am reasonably fit but not good at running :( Is it okay to walk/jog bits of it?

Reckon it could be pretty cold by that date, especially with all that mud and water. What kind of clothing is best to wear? Full wetsuit??! :D

Advice from anyone who has survived the challenge before would be greatly appreciated!

Yes you should be fine even if you are a total beginner...a lot of people walk it and take breaks at each obstacle. Only thing is that you might feel the cold. As you say, the water will be cold and walking you won't be building up body heat to keep you warm.

Myself and herself are looking at signing up. Sure it should be a bit of craic!

    Thanks Fletch.

Had a look at some of the photos on the website from the last one.
That's one bunch of happy looking (very) muddy people :D

A fun day. Perfect weather too.

Only negative was that getting people started was a complete shambles. The organisers need to figure out a much better system for the next time.

My girlfriend and her friend took part and while they enjoyed the event, they weren't impressed with registration been so early compared to their wave start. Lot of hanging around. And when they finished they was little of the food/drink left. One steward even remarked "Well you should have ran faster!" A shame for a good morning/afternoon to be tainted by some smart ass.
