    HI,

I went to withdraw money from your ATM on main st, BUndoran last Sunday Sep 2nd. Upon trping in my pin, selecting my amount etc I got the usual ' Please take your card and wait for your cash' promt.

I waited and I waited and after about 30 seconds I was told that this transaction could not be processed at this time. I had the relevent fund in my account as I have just checked it online prior to trying to withdraw.

I went straight across the rd to AIB to try there and it said insufficient funds. I checked online again to see that my account had been debited by BOI for the amount I tried to withdraw but was not given to me.

I have tried calling the branch but it goes straight through to the main swithboard and there I am on hold for ages listening to a machine.

I need this rectified asap as I am interning and cant afford to lose this money for any amount of time. Pleasew note I am living in Dublin so cannot call into the branch in Bundoran. My account is with Ulsterbank. So you know I have called them as they have customer care openm on a Sunday and they said the issue is with BOI as they processed the transcaction.

    I need this sorted ASAP,

    thanks

    Hi frag420.

Apologies for the recent inconvenience you encountered while using one of our ATM's.

Normally when a user doesn't receive funds from an ATM withdrawal this is rectified when the ATM balances. Once this happens the ATM realises there was a problem and the funds are normally credited back to the account after one working day. From time to time this doesn't work out as it should. In these cases the customer would have to contact their own bank as there are procedures in place to allow one bank to query ATM transactions with another bank. Since account specific information is needed for this process, it is necessary that it is instigated by the card holder's account holding bank.

    Hope this helps.
    Laura
