So bought a new Saorview approved tv yesterday and one of the small digital aerials, when i autotune tune my TV i get 0% digital signal and no channels on digital option and 3 fuzzy analogue channels.

    Isn't that all i need?
    Help!

Looks like you need a better aerial for starters. What part of the country are you in? What does the Saorview coverage checker have to say about your location?

Mullingar, looks ok but will i need an outside aerial?

You can try moving the indoor aerial around, you might find a 'sweet spot', but you'll probably just have to install an aerial in a location where sufficient signal strength is available & that usually means higher up & free of the building structure, though an attic installation will provide satisfactory reception in some cases.

Thanks i spoke to Saorview.ie and they said i would prob need one on the roof or outside as the signal looks like its coming from good bit away.

I will pick this up see what it can do. http://www.did.ie/4life-outdoor-tv-aerial-dvb-t12

Check if Cairn Hill are going to increase strength on 25/10. If they are, I wouldn't invest in an outdoor antenna until then.

It's already at it's final power, won't be receiving a power increase.

The indoor aerial linked isn't designed for Saorview reception indoors unless the wanted signal is vertically polarised, which Carin Hill isn't.

So will one of the 2 outdoor aerials above work?

They'll work if you can position them where sufficient signal is available. Nobody here can be sure what reception conditions are like at your exact location, what obstructions there might be in the signal path, or where you are actually able to install the aerial.

If you have even an old non-UHF aerial still on the roof it would be worth a shot connecting it up to that. Totally depends on the signal strength in your area. Mine works fine with just a length of coax sticking out the back.
