Al-Qaeda Leader Strikes Deal With U.S., Saudis To Send 5,000 Fighters to Syria
A militant who fought alongside Osama Bin Laden in Afghanistan and is now the leader of a group affiliated with Al-Qaeda in South Yemen has struck a deal with the United States and Saudi Arabia to send 5,000 Al-Qaeda fighters into Syria according to reports out of the Middle East.

Where did the number of 5,000 come from?
And how did support from Saudi turn into support from the US?

The newspaper articles linked to say nothing about the US or 5000 troops.

No, there are 7 letters and a hyphen in the word al-Qaeda, whereas there are only 3 letters and no hyphens in the word CIA.

Are you new here ? Also 99.99999999% of all 'attacked' stopped in the US are started by the FBI (ie offering bombs, guns to men with issues, then shouting ''Look we've stopped Al-Qaeda again !!!'' )

Yeah, you do, don't ya?

Could you explain why there is no "jihad" in Bahrain, for example? It wouldn't have anything to do with strategic importance of the massive US base in Bahrain, would it?

People (idiots) laughed when Gadaffi said that it was Al Qaeda terrorists causing the problems in Libya, even though the British had colluded with Al Qaeda in Libya previously to assasinate Gadaffi.

In some work that I do I get to speak to a lot of immigrants, and I find it interesting to find out about their home nations cultures/histories. I was talking with an elderly man from Somalia about a month ago whose story really encapsulates for me what "Al Qaeda" really is, and how it comes about:

Maybe you¨ve seen Black Hawk Down? Where in the early 90¨s the US military heroes were battling Somali warlord's viscious militias. The US later supported these warlords - yes, the same one they were fighting against -
Foreign press outlets such as the London’s Guardian Unlimited said the Bush administration funneled $100,000 to $150,000 a month to “proxies” based at a CIA-controlled base in Nairobi, Kenya. The International Crisis Group reported that the money was funneled through the Pentagon’s Joint Combined Task Force
against a new largely moderate Islamist movement, which had popular support in Somalia which uniquely went beyond tribal lines. The Islamists then became "Al Qaeda" (according to the US)
"The Council of Islamic Courts is now controlled by al-Qaida cell individuals, east Africa al-Qaida cell individuals," she said. "The top layer of the courts are extremist to the core. They are terrorists and they are in control. They are creating this logic of war, and that's a problem."

Key Points: In 2006 the US was claim that The Council of Islamic courts was "extremist", and it's leaders were "al Qaeda"..."terrorists".

Fast forward to 2012 and it's leader, the "Al Qaeda" "terrorist" is the current President of Somalia and backed by the UN/US in it's FIGHT AGAINST AL QAEDA!

And the reality of how the new group (Al Shabab) became the New Al Qaeda is that they were a group of pissed off Islamist/Somali nationalists who were gravely angered by the Ethiopian invasion of Somalia, a US client state which was ordered and funded by Washington.

This new "Al Qaeda" created through US intervention then becomes Washington's excuse for further US intervention. It's insane.

I think this example is telling as it demonstrates how real "al Qaeda" fighters are created and also how the US labels any area they want to intervene in that has a Muslim population resistant to Western imperialism as Al Qaeda.

The same hypocrisy is operating in Syria today. If the US killed resistance fighters in Iraq they are terrorists/militants. If the Syrian government kills the same group of people in Syria there is outrage.

Yup, its a lovely country.

Same way there's no jihad in Okinawa.

So you can't explain why Jihadis flock to Syria to fight a tyrant dictator while at the same time ignore the tyrant dicatator in Bahrain. Glad we cleared that up.

I don't remember being asked to explain that, wait, which one is not the "friend of America" again?

Look the FBI has saved the day again !!!!
''FBI were tracking American 'Jihadist' teen for months after learning of terror plot to blow up Chicago bar with car bomb. Undercover agents provided Adel Daoud, 18, with fake device and said public was never at risk''

Okay in some way this is good but this teen reached out in the world for fellow 'Jihadist' and all he found was the FBI and instead for talking him down for this path they provided him with fake device*. And then the proclaim to the world ''Look we stopped another 'Jihadist' ''.

* car bomb

Yeah he was "entrapped" into pressing a detonator to blow up what he thought was a car bomb outside a packed Chicago bar. Good luck to the defense team.

Well this is an example of what i have been saying could be a possibility for a while now.
The only difference is this time it was not made to go off.
Maybe between the real ones, they use for a psychological impact, faked terrorist threats or just insinuated threats.

We have already been informed on this forums(for regulars anyway) there is an american in yemen training terrorists in a school.
All he needs to do is network and find some sympathy in other countries to create a few "homegrown" terrorists and pass that info onto the american gov or whatever agency runs that country really.

Just a hypothetical situation.
I dont see this as black and white.
If terrorists wanted to do damage they would knock out the power grid or satelites or somethign more tactical than a city block, which really only scares the civilians....and thats it...Business as ussual in a few weeks-months.

When there are serious attacks on real targets i will consider terrorists are not gov originated.
Until then i must say what seems most likely to me.

Edit:
Also just thought of something else.
If this is a legit technique for catching real terrorists, why have they blown their cover for this one case of all the terrorists threats supposedly occuring and incoming.

If giving terrorists fake bombs is such a good idea they have royally screwed it up now in future...unless its all a load of BS anyway.
Or im open to other theories.Like maybe legally they could not have prevented the media from reporting their strategy to secure Americas freedom.
Although is this covered in the NSA?
