Does any body know where in Galway city or county I could get a key replaced on a Dell laptop at a reasonable cost? I got a quote of €80 over the phone, was told I would have to fit a new keypad. Seems a bit much for a 5 year old laptop

If you can describe the issue more maybe we can help you to do it DIY.
I changed a laptop keyboard on a lappy recently in 3 mins.
Got the new keyboard online for 20 or so.

I have a faulty KB for a Dell of roughly that age, that I replaced. It has all keys present. If you want just a key cap replaced, that shouldn't be too hard, I re-affixed one that had come off the same KB. I think it was an Inspiron 1300. The new KB I got was about 10-15 euro. I'm in Ballybane, PM me if you're interested.

Thanks for all the replies. Its a Dell Inspiron 9400. The letter c has come off and it is almost impossible to get it to work by pressing the rubber tab. If I need the letter c I have to copy and paste
