Coming out as Bi?

I'm a bi male, only ever been in a relationship with a female and nobody who knows me well knows that I'm bi. I don't want to deal with any hassle that may arise from coming out as bi, so I've decided just to keep it secret for the moment. I risk being caught as bi though because I do involve myself in the gay scene, just hoping it stays secret to those who don't know at the minute. Any advice?

I don't think anyone here is going to advise you how to go around hiding your sexuality. But if you're content and secure with your sexuality I think you should go ahead and further explore it on your own and try out the gay scene and see how it goes for you.

I will say this though, having your mates as support is a big help and avoids so much of the stress and paranoia. I'd know.
Coming out may seem like having to deal with a lot of shit and appears to be a lot of work, but there's a reason why the guys that push passed it say it's the best thing they've ever done, because you can be free to do what you like without fear, shame and judgement. No limits.

Think of all the options you could have once you come out and are able to be open about who you want or get with, without hiding it and living in fear of being outed. It's actually a very nice feeling and was a feckin great confidence builder in my case.

You know, you can stay closeted and not deal with what you think might happen by coming out, and that may seem like an easier option, but you pay for it by adding unnecessary stress and anxiety by playing around, desperate not to get found out.

For all the cons that you might see with coming out, once you start to hit the other side, you look back and think "WTF was I so afraid of?".

It's always worth the journey though.

I closed this thread the other day because the OP is continously reregging and trolling and has 5 or 6 different accounts. He's banned now and I've been requested to reopen it.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
