The only legal option I've heard of is Tom Coulton (google him for information). There is a Bill before the Houses of the Oireachtas to allow humanist solemisers perform ceremonies, but no guarantee when this will be passed. I know some people have used members of the Spiritualist group.

We married legally before our big day and had a humanist solemiser perform a ceremony on the day itself, might be an option.

Tom Colton is a member of the Spiritualist Union.
Some have also used the Unitarian Church, but I think there are more restrictions with them.

Tim Coulton is a medium but seems to be fairly flexible with content of the ceremony -- you can go for the full-on invoking of spirits etc, or have it a more straightforward affair.

The bill to allow the Humanist Association to perform legal marriages was before the Dáil just before the summer recess, so you'd hope it will be passed soon. We're getting married in March, and are going to take our chances -- if it's not passed, we'll do the legal part in a registry office around the time of the ceremony.

The HSE have a full list of registered solomnisers in ireland. But a lot on the list are priests so dont work outside of the church. Tom Colton was recommended to my niece for her wedding but he was not available but his colleague Mary Losty/Mary Murphy from the Spiritualist Union of Ireland performed the ceremony and I can honestly totally recommend her. She was lovely and they dont force anything on you for the ceremony. You meet with her before the wedding and discuss what you want or dont want in the ceremony. good luck with your search. PS. as far as I can remember Tom Colton wasnt on the list from the HSE but he is registered because when I rang the HSE they recommended him.

Tom is on the updated list but the older list is still linked to from many websites (including some of the official ones)

We're having Sandra Losty perform our ceremony. We'd have preferred the Humanists but given we're getting married in February and my complete lack of faith in the government to have this legislated for by then, the HSE to have licenced their humanist solemnisers by then and the (fairly high) chance that we wouldn't be able to get a timeslot in registry office calender we felt we'd little other choice tbh.
