Anyone prefer or recommend this route over the Wexford-Waterford-Tipp-Limerick-Galway route?

Its a better road and mostly main roads and motorway instead of small towns etc. But is it actually quicker? Anyone have the best route for going the Dublin way? Thanks

N24 is a sh1te road, i wont hear any arguments on that, avoid IMO

M11-M50-M4-M6 is grand safety point of view etc while being a heavy burden on fuel bills. You do of course have a bad couple of sections Rosslare->Gorey and Arklow->Rathnew

Id try use the N80 (which aint TOO bad)->N52->M6. Hop onto M6 at Killbeggan as a happy medium. Decent road for a good stretch, not much mileage and only the 1 toll.

Definitely a better route via Dublin. Get to the Gorey bypass and except for the N11 gap from Jack Whites to the Beehive it's an excellent route all the way - M11, M50 - leave at Junction 7 and then the M4/M6 all the way to Galway.

Other route involes New Ross and the possible delays there, then its just about OK to Carrick, Clonmel, Cahir etc but lots of towns and villages and heavy traffic at times with little scope for safe overtaking. From the Limerick Tunnel to Galway etc is fine - excellent road.

I would go via Dublin if it was my choice.
