    Lovely looking bike,

What is the length of the top tube?

    Any crashes or cracks?

I know nothing about the quality of Hong Fu bikes, wheels and handlebars, how safe is the construction of the bike and its components?

No Crashes or cracks. There is a small scratch in the clear coat above the BB.

I spent a lot of time researching frames sourced direct from the far east . Hong Fu came out as the most reputable after months of trawling the web, I have never had any issues with the frame or bars. I swapped out the orginal mast topper for the (stupidly overpriced) tune cappy to save some weight. The wheels were sourced from a french seller on ebay who was selling custom built clinchers, cant find him on there anymore.

I would probably rather keep the wheels; I took a small non structural chip out of the braking surface on the front whilst using them on the TT bike after a lorry hit gravel and sent loose stones flying my way. The chip was professionally repaired by MArk Downey from rough stuf in Palmerstown.

    Lovely looking bike...

Are the gigantex wheels clinchers or tubulars? And would you consider selling them separately?

    Cheers -

Wheels are clinchers - Think they weigh 1560grams but would need to double check. Will likely hang onto them if they dont go as part of sale.

Thanks for the info; the top tube is on the short side for me unless I put a very long stem on the bike.

I don't want to waste your time so I will hold off on an offer if you don't get one I may make you an offer subject to throwing my leg over the bike. I would be happy to go with the training wheels rather than the carbon ones.

I have got a 120 or 130mm on it at the moment and handling is fine. Also there is plenty of steerer showing above the headset. Drop me a PM if you want to arrange a quick look at it anyhow.

If OP (or any buyer) wants to split the sale, I would be happy to take the groupset depending on price.

No PMs until a deal is agreed in principle in-thread

Sorry, meant to say I was pm'ing him for his address, so I could arrange a viewing. Innocent mistake.

As I've mentioned via PM, you must agree a price in-thread before arranging a viewing, otherwise once you have viewed the item you must return to this thread to agree a price before the deal can be concluded. If anyone else offers asking in the meantime then it's theirs, regardless of the outcome of your viewing

TBH, there are plenty around here who made "innocent mistakes" and have received the same treatment - it does typically encourage them to actually read the forum rules though, and the number of re-offenders is vastly reduced;)

Alright, sorry for clogging this thread up a bit, but I'll have to try this again.

I'll offer €950 for the bike with dt axis 2.0 wheels and fizik arione pending viewing/maybe a quick test ride.
