Closing JB claim and become a Qualified Adult on spouse's claim

    Husband and wife made redundant from same company. Both are on JB. Wife want's to now close her own JB. On the same day, can the husband add the wife to his claim as an Increase for a Qualified Adult?

    Is it as simple as calling the DSP Local Office where the couple are both signing and asking for the wife's claim to be closed and for her name to be added to the husband's claim?

    ..or what is the procedure? Any advice welcome.

    Yes call in to the office fill out new claim.Wife signs off online or at the office.

    Can it be done over the phone?

    The slight complication is that the family have moved to the UK in order to look for work there, however JB is still being paid by the Irish authorities (via U2 form).
