Hi all, could anybody recommend a decent set of lights please, didn't really want to spend more than €30, if anybody has any new or 2nd hand that would be great or a link to any recommendations?
Also, are there such a thing as padded shorts?, struggling with a rather sore behind at present?!
    Thanks!

    Hi Matt,

Have a look at the following recent threads:

    This one and another one.

What is worrying, people tend to spend €30,000 on a safer car, but refuse to pay more than €30 for a proper set of bike lights to make their cycling safer and more comfortable. I can't get it really...

Thanks Seweryn. I'm fairly new to this cycling game and was unsure of the quality / standards of different lights, especially when I saw some for €1.49 in Dealz! I'll have a good read through the other threads.
    Many thanks.

    No worries Matt,

I am also quite novice. I started cycling full time since October last year and I have been commuting to work since. My route goes through some dark country lanes as well as part of the town, so until now I have fair idea what works best.

Anyway, if you have any further queries, just ask ;).

I followed Seweryn's advice and 'splashed' a bit on lights, in the post now so cannot comment just yet, but this dude does an excellent review - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IvHJi7Dj3eE

The Lezyne are also very good units. There are three models in the range with various lumen outputs and they represent good value.

Here is a good comparison test, so you can see how the lights perform.
