Just checking out the academic calender and it says that mid-term breaks/reading weeks are only given to some faculties. Just wondering if the current Journalism students can give an insight into what breaks you get throughout the year, thanks!

I always found reading week pretty essential as all our assignments in Multimedia were always due to be handed in week after reading week. Everyone spent all day reading week in the labs working.

JRs get the two reading weeks (one in semester one, one in semester two) two weeks before the Christmas exams (as well as the Christmas holidays) and two weeks before the summer exams.

Reading week is pretty important for Journalism degree imo, usually get plenty of assignments to be handed in after that week (as mentioned above).

That, and catching up on sleep. :)
