Don't most HD STB's just have a resolution of 1080p? HTPC with highend video adapter may work. Would UHD not be aimed more at the commercial market - Who would have the need for over sized screens? Hard to see the need/advantage or if there'd be much of an uptake for the private market.

I've just scanned it with DVBViewer - you need to use the LAV H.264 Codec but even then the images are jerky, break up and have no sound - at least on my own PC anyway.

This is the best picture I can get as a still.

You won't be able to take advantage of DXVA with this one so you'd need a sufficiently fast CPU to decode it without GPU assistance.
