2010 avensis boot wont open with remote key fob

I have a 2010 avensis on which the boot won't pop open with the remote key fob (the central locking it's working). I brought the car in from uk so not an option to go to dealer under warranty. It's not a major issue, rather a minor inconvenience, but still something I'd like to fix.

Has anyone any ideas on how to fix it?

AFAIK you can bring it to ay dealer and the warranty will be honoured. Have you asked them?

Far as I remember, the boot button on the key unlocks the boot when the car is locked so you can open the boot without unlocking the car. It doesn't remotely open the boot.
That was the case in the 03-09 models and I'm pretty sure the current model is the same.

Any European Toyota dealer will honour the warranty

If I knew the symbol for embarrassed I'd put it up! Any previous car I had seen that had a button for three boot opened it so I presumed that the same should be the case here. Thanks for the response.

At least you didn't have to go to the main dealer. :D
